I struggled with recurring infections for 4 years

My interest in superbug infections like C. difficile began after college when I worked for a major pharmaceutical company as a Microbiologist. For 9 years I worked in the lab doing medical research on many kinds of bacteria, including Clostridium species. Among my research projects, I studied how Clostridium, Staph and other bacteria react to antibiotics. I later moved on to become a pharmaceutical consultant where I taught drug companies how to make safe and bacteria-free products.

Michelle Moore, Microbiologist and C. difficile researcher

I’ve been a Staph carrier since college (I did my own nose swab test), but I was pretty healthy until about 1997. That’s when I started having recurring sinus and other infections.

My doctor prescribed me many courses of different antibiotics. I never thought to question taking all these antibiotics because that’s what my doctor told me to do. I never even got my infection tested because my doctor never suggested it.

I struggled with recurring infections for 4 long years and they often led me to other viral and bacterial infections, especially in my intestines. My life was a mess and my health began to plummet as the infections and antibiotics took their toll on my body.

What I discovered changed my life

All of the antibiotics I used weakened my body. I caught colds easily and I was sick just about every other week. I lost so much time from work that my work quality suffered and my relationship with my supervisor was strained. I was miserable and sick and tired of the cycle of infections, drugs, and more infections and I just couldn’t see any way out. That’s when I started searching for another way to deal with my infections… and what I discovered changed my life.*

Long-term freedom, not short-term relief

What really turned my life around was finding out there was a reason or “root cause” for my infection. Addressing this underlying issue finally gave me the long-term freedom I desired, not just short-term relief from infections. What I discovered about treating infections also changed my husband’s life too.

My husband Les is a Chemist and he spent 17 years testing and researching drug products in the pharmaceutical industry (that’s our picture to the right). Les loves hiking in the outdoors and he started suffering from chronic joint pain in his ankles and knees. After seeing how I turned my health around, Les began to address the root cause of his health problems just as I had. Les’s treatment techniques were different than mine, but many of the underlying principles were the same.

You can see Les’s full biography here.

We’ve seen first-hand the effects of both pharmaceutical drugs and antibiotics versus following natural and effective ways to achieve real health. Happily, we have made our transition from relying solely upon pharmaceuticals to a “new” path. We are now both happier and healthier than we ever have been and I haven’t had one recurring infection since 2004! *

Good research is more than just surfing the web

Superbugs like C. difficile are rapidly becoming more widespread, more challenging to treat and more serious and even life threatening. It’s critical that you get trust-worthy and reliable information presented with honesty and integrity when it comes to something this important.

My education and experience plus all my years as a scientist and researcher taught me a lot about studies, information and data. It definitely takes relevant education and experience to understand and present information accurately.

As part of my research, I’ve read many books, talked to medical doctors, naturopathic doctors and holistic practitioners, researched scientific journals in the U.S. and abroad, and attended seminars and trainings on how to use many different natural treatment techniques.

Plus I’ve had over 10 years of feedback with helping others deal with infections and seeing their experiences. And, of course I’ve learned a great deal through my own personal trial and error on what methods worked and which ones don’t.

Over the years, my articles, websites and health resources have been referenced widely around the internet. I’ve also been on talk radio, most recently on NPR affiliate radio show Holistic Health Perspectives where I discuss the challenging issues of C. difficile infections.

Helping others along their journey to health

The principles and techniques we discovered changed much more than our own health. My husband Les and I started our first natural health business in 2002. Since then, our business Embrace Health Inc. has allowed us to help thousands of people learn how to achieve better health and nutrition.

In 2008 I published my first book, MRSA Secrets Revealed, about handling Staph and MRSA infections naturally. Since then, C. difficile has grown and spread rapidly and is a very common problem after taking antibiotics for MRSA or other infections. Experts predict that C. diff may soon overtake MRSA as the number one “superbug” in the U.S. To help this growing need we’ve been witnessing with our readers, I published my first book “C difficile Treatments and Remedies” in 2013. You can find it on this site and on Amazon.com.

To date, we’ve sold over 29,000 of my infection resource guide books in over 58 countries. We feel very blessed to have been a part of so many people’s journey to health. You can find real feedback and comments from our readers here (note sometimes the name or location is changed to assure their privacy).

Why did I create this website?

To me, my journey back to health was a wake up call. I spent years researching antibiotics at my job, only to find that natural medicine was the right solution for me. I also knew from my research along the way that other people were struggling with the same problems with antibiotics and recurring infections that I had.

I wanted to make sure people didn’t have to go through the long process of figuring out the steps to take to stop these infections. So I created this website and my book as an integrative information resource for you and your family.

If you haven’t, please read my free report I offer on this website as well as my radio interview. Often for many folks, the hardest part is keeping the infection from coming back. I think every household needs to know this important information because C. diff and other challenging infections are becoming much more common.

We support our right to health freedom

supporting health freedomWe believe it’s essential that everyone should have access to alternative health choices. That’s another reason we created our informational resources. We think the freedom to make our own health choices is a right every person should have.

Unfortunately, that’s not entirely true here in the USA where big pharma companies lobby their drug interests in congress to squelch natural healing, natural health information and the supplement industry.

Therefore a portion of our proceeds from our sales go to support health freedom through the Alliance for Natural Health, Institute for Responsible Technology (IRT) and the Organic Consumers Association (OCA). These organizations advocate and campaign for changes in health freedom in the US and around the world.

We also help support several different ministries throughout the year that provide uplifting messages of hope and healing. We believe that there is a force much greater than ourselves, and that it can support healing in our bodies and in our lives.

We wish you well on your own journey to health.
